Partnership with the Private Sector

In Palestine’s challenging economic environment, linking young people to real work opportunities requires strong cooperation with the private sector. Employers are key actors in shaping demand, defining the skills needed in the market, and creating pathways for practical experience. For this reason, Sharek Youth Forum considers private sector partnership a strategic pillar for economic empowerment—helping youth move from training to employment.

Sharek maintains excellent relationships with the private sector and works in a collaborative model that connects youth from our economic empowerment programmes to paid internships, work-based learning opportunities, and employment pathways. Through these partnerships, young people gain hands-on experience, strengthen workplace readiness, and build professional networks—while companies benefit from motivated, prepared young talent.

To further strengthen access and exchange, Sharek also organizes periodic employment days and networking events with private sector partners—creating direct spaces where youth can meet employers, explore opportunities, and learn from professionals through experience-sharing and career dialogue.

Today, Sharek collaborates with 180+ private sector companies across multiple industries, enabling broader reach and more diverse opportunities for youth in the West Bank and Gaza. This partnership approach helps ensure that skills-building is aligned with real market needs and that youth access meaningful opportunities that support long-term livelihoods and economic participation.
