Our hub: the Village Learning Center VLC

As one of the key outcomes of the Tamayyaz Programme, the Village Learning Center (VLC) has been successfully established and is now fully functional. Designed to embody the spirit of innovation and sustainability, the VLC serves as the central hub for Tamayyaz activities and a home for a wide range of youth initiatives, trainings, and community engagements.

Located within the Palestinian Youth Village—a 34,000 sqm eco-sustainable campus of learning, creativity, and connection to the land—the VLC offers a dynamic space for hybrid learning, environmental and experiential education, and youth-led collaboration. It stands as a model of locally rooted, future-oriented development, where Palestinian youth can learn, innovate, and grow in harmony with their environment and identity.

However, despite its inspiring vision and impact, the VLC faces constant attacks and incursions by the Israeli army and settlers, leaving it vulnerable to theft and vandalism. These repeated assaults have interrupted activities and trainings, often making it unsafe to host programs as planned. Yet, even under such pressure, the VLC continues to symbolize resilience—standing as a space of hope, learning, and steadfastness for Palestinian youth.
