In partnership with Sharek Youth Forum, Sawaaed Center in Tulkarm supports adolescent girls through a structured training program and a series of interactive activities delivered under the Girl Zone framework, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). Based in Tulkarm, the center provides a safe and supportive space where girls can build life skills, strengthen confidence, and engage in guided learning that responds to their daily realities.
Importantly, this work opens opportunities for adolescent girls in and around Tulkarm’s refugee camps, where access to consistent educational and psychosocial support can be especially limited under the current conditions. Through age-appropriate, participatory sessions, Girl Zone helps girls connect with peers, express themselves safely, and develop practical tools to cope with stress and uncertainty.
As a member of the Sharek Partners Allaiance, Sawaaed Center plays an active role in community-based implementation—ensuring the program remains locally grounded, culturally sensitive, and accessible to girls who need it most.
