In partnership with Sharek Youth Forum, Al-Qamar Association in Jericho delivers a range of programs and interventions targeting adolescents and youth, combining structured learning with community-based action. This includes the Majd Journey Program and a set of youth-led initiatives that strengthen leadership, engagement, and positive participation in local communities.
Al-Qamar is also one of Sharek’s long-standing partners within the Sharek Partners Allaiance. Over the years, Sharek and Al-Qamar have implemented multiple interventions together, reflecting a strong record of collaboration, local trust, and sustained community presence. The most recent collaboration is Girl Zone, implemented in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
Through Girl Zone, Al-Qamar provides dedicated services for adolescent girls via a training program and interactive activities delivered within a safe, supportive environment. Using age-appropriate and participatory methods, the program strengthens girls’ life skills, confidence, wellbeing, and ability to navigate daily challenges—ensuring that empowerment is both practical and rooted in the local context of Jericho.
