Al-Zubeidat Youth Club - Jordan Valley

GirlZone – Al-Zubeidat Youth Club, Jordan Valley

In the heart of the Jordan Valley, Al-Zubeidat Youth Club hosts one of the most transformative Girl Zone experiences. To date, the center has reached 75 adolescent girls aged 12–17, organized into three learning groups, providing them with a safe and stimulating environment to explore their potential and strengthen their confidence.
The club was intentionally selected for its location in an underserved and geographically isolated area, where girls often have limited access to educational and psychosocial opportunities. Through rehabilitation and furnishing efforts, the Girl Zone space was transformed into a colorful, welcoming room equipped with educational tools, creative resources, and visual materials that promote learning and emotional well-being.

An all-women team—including a site coordinator, assistant coordinator, and local trainers—manages and delivers the sessions, creating a trusted and empowering space where girls feel supported and encouraged to participate fully. As a member of the Sharek Partners Alliance, Al-Zubeidat Youth Club plays an active role in community-based implementation, working closely with local stakeholders to ensure relevance and continuity. The program is also implemented with support from the Jordan Valley Youth Council, which contributes to outreach, coordination, and local engagement.

Today, the Al-Zubeidat center stands as a symbol of possibility—demonstrating how even the most rural communities can become safe, inspiring spaces for girls to learn, grow, and shape their own futures.
