The Diplomatic Youth Academy is one of Sharek Youth Forum’s flagship programmes, designed to strengthen the capacities of Palestinian youth and prepare them to engage confidently in international spaces. The Academy equips participants with advanced diplomatic and advocacy skills, enabling them to represent youth perspectives, communicate the Palestinian narrative professionally, and contribute to dialogue at local, regional, and global levels.
Through a structured learning journey, participants receive intensive training in negotiation, intercultural dialogue, and strategic communication, as well as drafting policy memos and position papers. The programme also introduces youth to key international mechanisms through simulated sessions inspired by the work of the United Nations and regional organizations, helping participants understand how international decision-making works in practice.
A core strength of the Academy is its direct exposure component. Participants engage with ambassadors, officials, and decision-makers through interactive discussions, mentorship, and learning encounters that provide real insight into diplomatic work and strengthen youth confidence to speak, advocate, and lead responsibly.
By the end of the programme, graduates emerge as a new generation of young leaders with clearer vision, stronger advocacy skills, and the ability to engage effectively across diverse platforms—supporting youth participation and strengthening Palestine’s presence and voice in international dialogue.
