Ongoing Raids and Vandalism in the Youth Village by Settlers
Ramallah – June 15, 2025
The Sharek Youth Forum expresses its resounding condemnation of the brutal raid and extensive vandalism that targeted the Youth Village — a community initiative affiliated with the Forum — over the past two days. These acts were carried out by groups of settlers who stormed the site, destroyed its contents, and inflicted severe damage on its facilities. This repeated aggression reflects a systematic policy of escalation and sabotage against Palestinian civil and youth institutions.
The Youth Village is a unique model of volunteerism and community engagement — a safe space that fosters participation, creativity, and initiative. Yet, even such symbols of hope and resilience have not been spared from the violence of the occupation and its settlers, revealing a deliberate targeting of all that represents hope and steadfastness in Palestine.
We affirm that these practices will not deter us from continuing our mission to empower and build the capacity of Palestinian youth. We will rebuild what has been destroyed — with the will of our youth and in partnership with all who believe in freedom and justice.
We call on the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations to fulfill their moral and legal responsibilities in protecting civilians and community institutions, holding perpetrators accountable, and ending these grave violations that continue to take place in full view of the world.
