Statement Issued by Sharek Youth Forum
In light of the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip and the accompanying grave violations of international humanitarian law, Sharek Youth Forum strongly condemns the systematic targeting of humanitarian workers, volunteers, and youth service providers. Such actions clearly violate the Geneva Conventions, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and Additional Protocol I of 1977.

Humanitarian personnel have been subjected to hundreds of attacks, including killings, arrests, physical abuse, and denial of access to affected communities — acts that amount to war crimes requiring accountability.

Accordingly, we demand the following:

An immediate halt to all attacks on humanitarian workers.

Legal protection for humanitarian personnel and volunteers by international humanitarian law.

The initiation of an independent international investigation into the documented violations.

Full legal accountability for the occupying power regarding the targeting of humanitarian actors.

Sharek Youth Forum affirms that any harm inflicted upon humanitarian workers and volunteers constitutes a serious breach of peremptory norms of international law, and we reserve the right to document and pursue legal accountability.
