Sports for Young Palestinians
Jawad Assi, program supervisor: “Sharek Youth Forum has put together a Sports Camp for young boys and girls aged 7-14, which will take place from 6-20 July in Ramallah. The children will be involved in various sports such as football, basketball, volleyball and other strength-building activities. During the camp, excursions will take place and there will also be a health education program. This camp has been possible through the generous endorsement of the UNDP.”
The Executive Director of Sharek, Bader Zamareh, said, “The aim of the sports camp is to bring children together so they may develop strong team work and cooperation skills. Another aim is to build their strength so they may become healthier and stronger individuals. It is also hoped that these young people will discover some hidden talents and hone their sports’ skills. I encourage all parents to come, support and cheer on their children. I thank PACES for their generous donation of sports’ equipment and I also thank JAWWAL for supplying the uniforms and bags for each young participant.”
The sports camp will take place every day, apart from Friday, from 9:00 to 2:00 in Ramallah Boys’ School.
