Radio Youth Program “What’s in your Head?”
“What’s in your Head?” is a youth program aims at involving the largest number of young people by posing their different perceptions on a specific issue and discussing it in a manner that ensures freedom of expression. It also seeks to hear the youth voice from the different areas in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and inside the Green Line. The program also tackles the youth issues from new angles in terms of the conceptual changes occurred on youth attitudes and touches on youth issues in different sectors including employees, students, workers and unemployed.
Particularity of the Program Idea
This program is particular and unique due to its concern in the different categories and sectors from different places of residence. The team work will collect youth stories, problems and perceptions on different issues.
Program Objectives
• To conduct a youth opinion poll and hear their problems and concerns
• To create the collective concern culture of young people
• To create the culture of difference among young people
• To communicate the youth voice, concerns and problems
• To stimulate the young people through success simple and normal stories
• To raise youth awareness and educate them on the community issues
• To focus on concepts of partnership, equality, justice, freedom and democracy
Program Episodes
1. What’s in your Head? … Through which audience hear youth perceptions on different concepts and discuss them with one or two young persons.
2. Qadha wa Qdodha (Can do it) … episodes that tackle the story of a young person (males or female) from different sectors and through it youth are encouraged on hard work, achievement and persistence.
3. Participate with Us … poses the young people perceptions on a specific question; it is more like an opinion poll through which direct participation on air
4. From the Besieged Gaza Reservoir … A weekly message poses the young people opinions on a specific question aired directly by Merhi Bashir.
